Insurance Broker Services

The District is seeking to engage a qualified insurance broker to provide brokerage services for a variety of insurance coverages, as well as serve as a strategic resource regarding best insurance practices that will align with the District’s needs. As a strategic resource, the broker will advise the District on insurance-related matters, including contract reviews for insurance requirements, governmental immunity considerations, and risk exposure assessments to help identify potential gaps or redundancies in coverage.

Background

Currently, the District maintains the following insurance coverages through independently brokered arrangements: Aviation (Unmanned Aircraft Systems / Drones), Aviation (Helicopter), Crime, Cyber Liability, and Director Bonds. The District also participates in a risk management pool that provides coverages for general liability, property, automobile liability, and workers' compensation.
