The new devices shall be HID Signo keypad-enabled readers that arefully compatible with the District’s Lenel OnGuard access control system andexisting 125kHz Proximity credentials.The intent of this project is to standardize access control reader hardware,improve system functionality, and ensure operational reliability.2. District Approved EquipmentReader Models1. HID Signo 40K – Full-size keypad reader2. HID Signo 20K – Mullion keypad readerFunctional RequirementsAll installed readers must: Support 125kHz Proximity credentials Provide PIN entry via keypad Be fully compatible with Lenel OnGuard Support Wiegand communication (OSDP preferred, if available) Be appropriate for the specific installation environment Include all required mounting hardware and weather-rated components as applicableThe Contractor shall verify the appropriate reader model at each opening priorto ordering materials.3. Integration Requirements Readers shall integrate with existing Lenel controllers and infrastructure No changes shall be made to credential numbering format No additional software licensing costs shall be incurred All devices must be fully programmed, named, tested, and operationalprior to acceptance Programming coordination with Campus Police / Security is required4. Scope of WorkThe Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, programming, testing, andcommissioning required to: Remove existing card readers Furnish and install new HID Signo keypad readers Re-terminate or replace wiring as needed Connect readers to existing panels and power Configure card and keypad functionality Label equipment per District standards Restore all impacted finishes Provide final testing and documentationDamage resulting from installation shall be repaired at Contractor expense.5. Cabling & Infrastructure Existing wiring may be reused if in good condition and compliant All wiring shall be tested and labeled Non-compliant wiring shall be replaced using District-approved materials All work shall comply with applicable codes6. Testing & AcceptanceThe Contractor shall confirm and document: Proximity card functionality Keypad PIN functionality Correct Wiegand output Proper door operation and timing Alarm reporting within Lenel Correct naming conventionsFinal acceptance will occur only upon successful system verification.7.
