    Description

    The Florida Polytechnic University Board of Trustees (the “University”) is requesting proposals from Respondents to thin a portion of the Nort East side of campus to showcase more of the University Campus. Services shall include all labor, supervision, equipment, materials, traffic control, and debris removal necessary to complete the work in accordance with this solicitation, Florida law, and industry standards.If interested, please provide value add services which can include pricing for future tree removal services. This information should be included on a separate document.Scope of Work and DeliverablesA. Refer to attachment (Tree Trimming) Exhibit I, and provide the following: 1. Thin/Mulch Area shown in red. 2. Provide initial treatment to prevent underbrush grow back. 3. All trees with circumferences less than 10" shall be removed. 4. Trimming of all tree limbs up to 6'. 5. Grinding of all woody material on ground. Final grind to ensure area is left able to mow 6. Additional/Alternate Plan/ Services7. Timeline for completion of work requested 8. Pricing for work requested. 9. Value AddB. Technical and Performance Standards 1. All work shall be performed in accordance with: o ANSI A300 – Tree Care Operations o International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Best Management Practices 2. Contractor shall take all reasonable precautions to prevent damage to University property, including turf, irrigation systems, sidewalks, curbs, underground utilities, buildings, and vehicles. C. Personnel Qualifications • All work shall be performed under the supervision of an ISA Certified Arborist. • The Contractor shall maintain current certification and provide documentation upon request. • All personnel shall comply with OSHA, University safety policies, and applicable State of Florida requirements. All personnel shall be properly trained and comply with OSHA safety requirements and applicable Florida regulations. C. Equipment, Safety, and Site Protection • Contractor shall furnish all equipment, tools, and personal protective equipment required to perform the services. • Work areas shall be properly secured using cones, barricades, signage, and traffic control measures as required. • Contractor shall comply with all applicable Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), university and local safety requirements when working near roadways or pedestrian areas. D. Debris Removal and Cleanup • All debris generated as a result of tree trimming and thinning activities shall be removed from the site and properly disposed of in accordance with applicable laws. • Work areas shall be left clean and free of debris at the conclusion of each workday. • Wood chips shall be removed unless otherwise directed by the University. E. Scheduling and Coordination • Services shall be performed during hours approved by the University to minimize disruption to academic and campus operations. • Work may be requested on an as-needed basis at multiple campus locations. • Contractor shall respond to emergency or priority service requests within a timeframe established by the University. F. Pricing Requirements • Pricing shall be all-inclusive, including labor, equipment, supervision, traffic control, disposal, and cleanup. • Contractor shall clearly identify the pricing structure (e.g., per tree, per hour, per crew, or per location). • No additional charges shall be incurred without prior written authorization from the University. G. Inspection and Acceptance • All services are subject to inspection and approval by the University. • Services deemed unsatisfactory shall be corrected by the Contractor at no additional cost. • Payment shall be contingent upon satisfactory completion and acceptance of services. All goods and services proposed must meet or exceed the specifications as of the date the Proposals are due, unless specifically stated as otherwise in the ITN documents.
