The District reserves the right to retain all proposals submitted and to use any ideas in a proposal regardless of whether that proposal is selected. Submission of a proposal indicates acceptance by the firm of the conditions contained in this request for proposals, unless clearly and specifically noted in the proposal submitted and confirmed in the contract between the District and the firm selected.
The Proposer is responsible to obtain any square footage information they require, during the mandatory job walk.
The District was created in 1972 by a local voter initiative. The District operates under Sections 5500-5595 of the Public Resources Code of the State of California for the purpose of acquiring park, recreation and open space land; and the development, operation and maintenance of these lands. The District has acquired or helped to acquire a total of 24 parks and open spaces and covers more than 20,000 acres within Monterey County.

Based on discussions with vendors at the Pre-Proposal Meeting on April 2, 2026, the District has prepared this addendum which sets out extensions to the Scope of Work for this Request for Proposal.
Periodic Services Pricing Proposal
This Addendum discusses the inclusion of a Periodic Services Pricing Proposal to Section 7 of this Request for Proposal.
Addendum #3 notes the expansion of scope, agreed to by the District, to respond to suggestions provided by Contractors at the Pre-Proposal Meeting of April 2, 2026.
The expansion in scope relates to both "regular" and "periodic" services.
In response to that expansion of Scope in Addendum #3, the District would ask Contractors to include the additional regular services to the Pricing Proposals relating to Palo Corona Regional Park and to the Garland Ranch Regional Park respectively.
In relation to the new “Periodic Services”, the District would ask that Contractors prepare their proposal filling in the additional new pricing proposal marked “Periodic Services”. These services are annual, six monthly and monthly. The District would like Contractors to break out Periodic services in the following line items: • Commencement Deep Clean, • Annual Deep Clean, • Periodic services (monthly), and • Garland Ranch Regional Park cleaning lights and vents.

Q (Subcontractor ): Could you please confirm whether subcontracting is permitted under this RFP?
A: Subcontracting is permitted; however, all subcontractors providing janitorial services must be disclosed in the proposal, maintain current registration with the California Department of Industrial Relations, and receive prior written approval from the District.
Q (Square Footage ): Could you please provide a detailed square footage breakdown for both Garland Ranch Regional Park and Palo Corona Regional Park locations? Specifically, we are looking for separate square footage for all administrative offices, the Discovery Center, office trailers, and all restrooms.
A: No accurate footage is available. Based on the Pre-Proposal Meeting of April 2, proposers have seen the facilities and the general sizes.
