INVITATION TO BID COMMONWEALTH UNIVERSITY of PENNSYLVANIA CWU-88-B: KUB/Schuyler Dr Steam and Condensate Line Replacement Commonwealth University – Bloomsburg Campus of the PA State System of Higher Education invites Mechanical Contractors to download bid documents for this project. Work consists of steam line and condensate line demolition and replacement and restoration. Work includes excavation and site preparation for installation of new underground utilities including steam and condensate piping systems. Contractor shall provide all excavation, backfill, sheeting, shoring, dewatering, rock excavation, surveying, layout, and test pitting required for the work. In addition, work includes demolition and removal of portions of existing steam and condensate piping systems including associated insulation, traps, valves, sump pumps, and other components located within existing manholes. Existing piping indicated to be abandoned shall be capped, plugged, sealed, and abandoned in place. Contractor shall furnish and install all steam and condensate piping, insulation, valves, supports, expansion components, and associated fittings required for a complete system. A mandatory Pre-bid conference, with site visit to follow, will be held on April 16, 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Kehr Union Building (KUB) room 343 on the campus of Bloomsburg University, Bloomsburg Pa 17815. Electronic Bids are due no later than 1:00 PM, EDT on May 12, 2026, through PennBid located at https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com/. The Bid package is available at no cost via PennBid at https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com/. In order to submit a proposal, interested bidders need to register with PennBid.
