The project will include construction of a new mechanical room on the mezzanine level to house a heat exchanger, circulating pumps on both sides of the heat exchanger, expansion tank, glycol feeder with system fill, floor drain, and new electrical panels. Heating water piping will be extended from the campus piping tunnel to the new mechanical room, where the heat exchanger will transfer heat from the campus loop to a 30% propylene glycol system serving the heating coil. New air-handling unit will be placed on a field-fabricated platform per Structural drawings. Existing make-up air unit gas piping on roof will be capped. Lighting and fire protection in and around mechanical room will be updated and reconfigured. The work also includes integration of the new air-handling unit with the building automation system (BAS) in accordance with the Control Drawings.
