    City of Lake Charles, Louisiana Lock Park Inclusive Playground LCR 401 CONTRACTOR shall complete all Work as specified or indicated in the Contract Documents for the LCR 401 Lock Park Inclusive Playground. The Work includes, but is not limited to: PROJECT SUMMARY: • The scope of work that is considered base bid includes: o Necessary earthwork, grading, tree protection, and utility adjustments to accommodate the proposed playground and parking; o Demolition of the two (2) stall concrete parking lot off 6th Street, the central pedestrian promenade connecting 6th Street to 7th Street, select removal of concrete paths to accommodate drainage and curb ramps, and the removal of select trees; o Installation of vehicular rated concrete paving for a parking lot and entry drive, custom playground components, poured-in-place safety surfacing on a gravel and concrete base, engineered wood fiber safety surfacing, two (2) pre-engineered shade structures, concrete curbs and pedestrian paths, subsurface drainage, site lighting, playground fencing, planting, and an irrigation system. • The scope of work that is considered alternates includes: o Alternate No. 1: Add vehicular rated paving and curbs east of proposed drive aisle. o Alternate No. 2: Add planting and irrigation in parking islands and in front of pavilion.
