    Description

    Howard County intends to procure the services of a construction firm to replace the existing Primary Substation No. 3 (PS-3) at the Little Patuxent Water Reclamation Plant (LPWRP) with a new substation ata new location elevated above the 100-year floodplain. The project will include, but is not limited to, demolition of the existing PS-3 and replacement with a new outdoor unit substation consisting of two (2) –13.2kV load interrupter switches, two (2) – 1000/1288 kVA substation transformers, and a 480V switchgear. The new substation will be supported by an elevated structural steel platform on reinforcedconcrete foundations. The project will also include demolition of the existing Motor Control Center 06 (MCC-06) and replacement with a new 800A switchboard, miscellaneous electrical and instrumentationwork, and other site work and improvements.
