    Description

    Notice is hereby given that Lower Gwynedd Township will receive sealed online bids for Traffic Signal Maintenance. This contract includes traffic signal maintenance on Township roads and intersections for two (2) years. Bid Documents are available online at no charge via PennBid.Bids will be accepted until 10:00 AM on Friday August 7, 2026 via PennBid (https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com) only. All bids received will be evaluated for completeness. The contract will be awarded by the Board of Supervisors at their monthly board of supervisor meeting on August 25, 2026, or at a subsequent meeting of the Board.Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond payable to Lower Gwynedd Township in the amount of not less than ten precent (10%) of the bid.All bidders are required to establish proof of competency and responsibility, in accordance with all applicable PennDOT regulations related to traffic signal maintenance, including PennDOT Form 408/2016, Change 6, Section 102. Subcontractors must pre-qualify in the same manner, if listed in the bid, or if they subsequently undertake the partial or total construction of one or more items of work.All bidders must include staff who are IMSA Traffic Signal Technician Level II certified or higher to perform maintenance and construction of traffic signals. Bidders must also have experience maintaining Peek and Econolite traffic control equipment, operating in a closed-loop and central control environment. Bidders are required to submit references of present and/or past municipalities where Peek and Econolite equipment and systems are current and have been maintained.Bids must be submitted unconditionally. No bidder may withdraw bid within sixty (60) days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids.Lower Gwynedd Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or parts thereof, for any reason whatsoever, or to waive deficiencies in a bid submission, as the Township deems in its best interests.By Order of The Board of Supervisors Lower Gwynedd TownshipBy: Mimi Gleason, Township Manager
