    Notice is provided by the Township Secretary that sealed proposals will be received by the Township of Lower Merion for the following:Belmont Pumping Station Upgrades Contract Number: 26-12-4744-4748 Multiple Prime Contracts: General Construction; Electrical ConstructionSealed proposals shall be submitted online via the Pennbid Program (https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com).Proposals will be received until 11 am, prevailing time, Thursday, April 23, 2026, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud.Each Proposal shall be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty as specified in the Instructions to Bidders section of the Bid Document.A Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Bond in the amount of 100% are required. Also, a Maintenance Bond in the amount of 25% is required.Bidders may obtain electronic copies of drawings and specifications of this project, at no cost, on the PennBid website noted above.A non-mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held at 113 Belmont Avenue, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004 on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at 10 am, for all interested Bidders.Scope of Work The project is for the replacement and upgrade of the Grit Removal System and Sewage Pumps and associated appurtenances. The work includes, but is not limited to: selective demolition; temporary bypass pumping measures; selective replacement of the piping, fittings, and appurtenances for installation of owner-furnished sewage pumps, including core drilling; modification or replacement of VFDs; replacement of grit screw system similar in-kind; structural steel modification and reinforcement of the monorail hoist system; restoration; and associated electrical work.Award is planned for May 20, 2026 with Construction Notice to Proceed planned for June / July 2026 pending contract execution. Note, onsite construction activities planned to begin mid to late summer 2026 pending receipt of equipment and PaDEP WQM Permit.Detailed specifications developed by Pennoni Associates, Inc. Questions regarding the project scope shall be submitted via the “Vendor Discussions” feature in PennBid.
