Sealed bids for the construction of an 12-inch PVC & HDPE potable water main to extend west along Main Street from approximately 3232 Main Street in the Kent Narrows east area to the Chester River Beach overpass within Queen Anne's County, Maryland will be received from qualified bidders by the County Commissioners of Queen Anne's County at the Queen Anne's County Sanitary District, 310 Bateau Drive, Stevensville, Maryland 21666 until 2:00 p.m. local time on July 14, 2026 at which time they will be opened publicly and read aloud. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder once sureties and insurance requirements are satisfied. The work of this contract, Contract No. SAN 26-02, consists of the installation of approximately 3,200 linear feet of 12-inch PVC water sewer main via open trench as well as approximately 4900 linear feet of 12-inch via horizontal directional drilling. The work will be within SHA rights-of-way. Contractors are referred to the SHA Permit for work hour restrictions. Work will include the installation of division valves, fire hydrants, and individual services. Work will also require any trench within paving to be repaired with hot mix asphalt base course at the end of each week.
