AI Summary
The Central Florida Tourism Oversight District seeks engineering firms to develop a detailed electrical system model of the EPCOT Energy Plant to evaluate and upgrade its electrical systems in support of expansion and future load growth.
We are pleased to invite you to participate on Bid# C007105 Modeling Of The Epcot Energy Plant Electrical System. The following link is to our new bidding platform, hosted by PlanetBids™, where you can find the bid documents: BID LINK HERE.
Central Florida Tourism Oversight District (“CFTOD” or “District”), in coordination with Reedy Creek Energy Services (“RCES”), invites qualified engineering firms to submit a Letter of Interest (LOI) to provide the development of a comprehensive electrical system model of the EPCOT Energy Plant (EEP).
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
CFTOD owns and RCES operates the EEP, which provides chilled water services to nearby attractions and resort facilities. Due to ongoing expansion, renovation initiatives, and future load growth, both the primary and secondary electrical systems at EEP must be evaluated and, where necessary, upgraded.
Prior to the addition of new load, RCES requires a detailed “snapshot” electrical model to benchmark the current system condition and evaluate future system performance under various scenarios.
SCOPE OF WORK
The Consultant shall:
• Design, develop, test, and document an electrical system model of the EEP
• Conduct a virtual project kickoff workshop with RCES to confirm assumptions, modeling approach, data requirements, and acceptance criteria
• Perform attribute validation and engineering checks to ensure model accuracy
• Validate model results against known operating conditions
• Perform analyses including:
o Load flow
o Short circuit / fault analysis
o Motor starting
o Voltage drop
o Harmonic analysis
o Arc flash analysis
• Demonstrate model functionality and analytical capabilities
• Prepare formal technical reports documenting assumptions, methodology, and results
