      Project Overview

      Walton County is soliciting quotes for the retrofit of an existing brick/stucco monument sign at the Walton County Operational Complex in DeFuniak Springs, Florida. The existing structure will remain in place; the County is responsible for any necessary surface repair and repainting of the monument prior to vendor installation.


      Scope of Work

      The vendor shall design, fabricate, and install the following on the existing double-sided monument:

      1. Seal/Logo Panel – Reproduction of the Walton County official seal, mounted to both faces of the monument. Material shall be aluminum or PVC composite, full-color, UV-resistant, and suitable for exterior Florida climate conditions.
      2. Text Panel – Fabrication and installation of facility name text ("WALTON COUNTY OPERATIONAL COMPLEX" or as directed) on both faces. Text shall be dimensional (minimum ¾" depth) or flat panel with applied graphics, at vendor's proposed specification. Vendors shall clearly identify the material and method proposed.
      3. Background Panel – ACM (Aluminum Composite Material) or equivalent panel to serve as the mounting surface for text and logo elements. Color to be determined by County upon award. Panel must be suitable for direct masonry mounting with a finished appearance (fastener concealment required or clearly noted if not achievable).
      4. Finish/Durability – All materials must be rated for exterior use, UV-stable, and capable of withstanding coastal Florida weather conditions. Vendor shall specify expected material lifespan.
      5. Installation – Vendor is responsible for all labor, hardware, and mounting required to install components onto the existing monument in DeFuniak Springs, FL.

      Items Not in Scope

      • Electrical/illumination (optional add-alternate — vendors may provide pricing separately)
