Scope of work applies for the application of a multi-ply modified bitumen roof system to areas as applies will be installed per manufacture’s specifications to specific roof conditions. The scope of work applies for the new installation of product approved modified bitumen roof system to include deck specific preferred assembly. Roof system must include minimum three (3) membranes (smooth base plies and granulated cap ply), fasteners, insulations, flute filler (If metal deck) and air vapor retardant if needed. Membranes can be torch applied or hot asphalt applied. Roof System shall have a Class A Fire Rating. Contractors shall be capable of providing a 30-year manufacturer NOL warranty. The Basis-of-Design as manufactured by Polyglass USA (FBC Approval FL1654) consists of: Polytherm polyisocyanurate insulation (not required with lightweight decks) Gypsum coverboard (not required with lightweight decks) Elastobase V anchor sheet (only required with lightweight decks) Two (2) plies of Elastoflex S6 base ply Elastoflex S6 G FR Bright White cap ply 2.2. Substitutions for alternate manufacturers will be reviewed, provided that the substitution materials are equal to or greater than those specified. Substitution material properties to be equal or greater include, but are not limited to, ASTM standards, membrane thickness, fire rating, wind uplift, and warranty terms. Scope of work applies for the application of a standing seam metal roof system, 24 gauge 1611 panel/ bare galvalume finish (ENGLERT A1300 Mechanically Seamed Panel), to include all engineered calculations, drawings, specifications, architect and/or engineering fees, and reports required for permitting by the building department. Contractor will submit product approval and manufactures specifications upon pre-construction meeting. This information should be entered on form 00450 Bidder’s Statement of Qualifications and Business References, highlighting at least two comparable projects and using additional pages as needed.
