    Description

The City is planning on soliciting proposals from qualified and experienced consultants to develop and calibrate its InfoWorks ICM sanitary sewer hydraulic model. This model will support system planning, operations, and capital improvement decision-making. The selected consultant will provide all professional services necessary for model development, calibration, documentation, training, and post-submittal support, as outlined in this Request for Proposals (RFP).

As part of this project, access to sensitive/protected data sets is required.

The data sets are as follows:

    • City of Naperville Sanitary Sewer GIS Viewer Access
    • Existing Sanitary Sewer Model

This posting is to allow firms the opportunity to sign and submit a Non-Disclosure Agreement, which is a requirement for this project. Once the deadline for NDA submission has been reached, this posting will be closed out, and all firms that have signed the NDA will be invited to a private solicitation posting on OpenGov.

Within that private posting, those firms will be given access to those data sets and access to the full RFP.

Additional information from the future RFP is contained here so your firm can better evaluate if your firm wishes to participate.

    Background

The City of Naperville, incorporated in 1857, is located in southwestern DuPage County and northwestern Will County and covers an area of approximately 39 square miles. The City’s sanitary collection system currently serves a population of 162,563 and includes the following key components:

    Unsupported image type.

The City’s collection system also accepts flow from the City of Warrenville. The model does not require modeling Warrenville’s collection system; however, the flow versus time from the City of Warrenville and the points of discharge must be included in the model. The modeler will need to contact the City of Warrenville, with assistance from the City of Naperville, to obtain the flow data.

The City currently has a partially completed InfoWorks ICM sanitary model, originally developed in 2010, which includes trunk sewers 10 inches in diameter and larger. The City is seeking professional services to develop a comprehensive InfoWorks ICM model that includes all sanitary sewers 8 inches in diameter and larger. The existing partially completed model will be made available to consultants who attend the mandatory pre-bid meeting. The selected consultant may choose to modify the existing model or develop a new model based on the City’s GIS information. The City has relatively accurate and comprehensive sanitary GIS information. A GIS viewer will also be available to consultants at the mandatory pre-bid meeting.
