    Description

The County of Nevada is soliciting sealed Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from engineering firms (appropriate professional registration required) to provide Engineering Design Services for various public works projects. Services may include, but are not limited to, roadway and bridge engineering; structural and foundation engineering; geotechnical investigations; materials testing; erosion control; engineering of signalized intersections, including electrical design; utility locating and coordination; land surveying; hydrology and hydraulics; right-of-way engineering; environmental documentation and permitting support and studies; and expert witness services. Firms are encouraged to include specialty subconsultants as part of their team, and specialty consultants with relevant qualifications are also invited to submit SOQs. The purpose of this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is to establish a Qualified List of firms to provide Engineering Design Services on an as-needed basis. The County intends to name approximately four (4) Consultants to the Qualified List; however, the County reserves the right to select more or fewer consultants based on the qualifications received. The Qualified List, shall be valid for three (3) years from the date of award, with an option to renew for two (2) additional one-year periods. Once the On-Call list has been established the County will issue “Informal-RFPs” to the consultants on the on-call list outlining specific projects. Consultants will be selected for specific projects based on their rank in the “Informal-RFP” process. The County makes no specific guarantee of a minimum or maximum amount of services which shall be requested of any firm who is named to the Qualified List. The County will assign work by soliciting informal proposals from one or more of the Consultants from the Qualified List for specific tasks, and will make awards based on the experience and expertise required for the work, proposer’s current workload, ability to respond, or other relevant criteria such as technical expertise required for the project for example, traffic studies or hydraulic analysis. Award of contracts and delivery of services are further described in Section 7.0. This RFQ includes a description of the scope of work, proposal requirements, and instructions for submitting your proposal.
