NOTICE INVITING BIDS - The City of Chico will receive sealed bids at 965 Fir Street, Chico, CA 95928 (mailing address: P.O. Box 3420, Chico CA 95927 ATTN: Public Works O&M), until 10:00 a.m. (Pacific Standard Time) on March 9, 2026 at which time the bids will be opened and read aloud. Once the results have been determined by staff, bid results may be obtained on the Public Purchase website under Bid # 2026 – ON-CALL FENCING. GENERAL WORK DESCRIPTION – The City of Chico is requesting bids from qualified fencing and fabricating contractors to provide labor, equipment, materials, and performance of operation in connection with fencing construction, custom fabrication, on-site welding, large steel fence and barrier work, maintenance, repair, and related services for City facilities on an on-call basis. The Contract Period shall be one (1) year with the option to renew for up to four (4) additional one (1) year periods (total of 5 years). LICENSING REQUIREMENTS – The Contractor shall possess a current and valid California Contractor State Licensing Board (CSLB) C-13 Fencing license and C-23 Ornamental Metal license. The contractor shall maintain the same in a current status for the duration of the project. A C-60 Structural Welding License is desired, but not required. Upon award of contract, Contractor shall obtain a City of Chico Business License and shall maintain same in a current status for the duration of the project.
