    Description

    STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

The Yolo County General Services Procurement Division is seeking qualified professional moving services Contractor(s) to establish an on-call, as-needed pool of providers to support relocation and moving services for County departments and select client populations.

The County seeks reliable and experienced Contractor(s) capable of providing a broad range of moving services, including office relocations, workspace reconfigurations, interdepartmental transfers, and residential relocations. Services may also include sensitive residential moving support for the Health and Human Services Agency’s clients and individuals under Public Guardian Conservatorship.

Services will be requested on an as-needed basis, and no minimum volume of work is guaranteed. Contractor(s) must be capable of mobilizing on short notice and performing moves of varying complexity throughout Yolo County, and when necessary, within the State of California.

A recurring component of this contract involves support for Health and Human Services Agency clients transitioning between residential settings, including one-bedroom apartments and room-and-board facilities. These moves include participants in supportive housing, the Full Service Partnership (FSP) program, and other County-administered programs, as well as individuals under the care of the Public Guardian. These relocations occur approximately thirty to fifty (30-50) times per year and often require professionalism, sensitivity, discretion, and care due to the nature of the client population being served.
