The Department of Labor & Industry (DLI), Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR) is seeking interested individuals to serve as independent contractors in the capacity of Independent Hearing Officers and/or Mediators. In this capacity the individual will preside over quasi-judicial administrative impartial due process hearings and write formal adjudications relating to applicants’ or eligible individuals’ appeals of determinations made by personnel of the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation that affect the provision of vocational rehabilitation and other services to the applicant or eligible individual. The presentation program is specifically designed for Interested individuals that are knowledgeable about the federal laws and regulations governing the provision of vocational rehabilitation services, (including the federal Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended, 29 U.S.C. §701 et. seq. and governing regulations 35 CFR Part 361). Individuals must also have experience presiding over or participating in administrative proceedings. All OVR Independent Hearing Officer and Mediator contractors will receive an orientation and training from DLI Office of Chief Council once they have Commonwealth approved vendor status. There are no subcontracting opportunities available for this Procurement. The event will be held at virtually, through Microsoft Teams, on Tuesday June 16, 2026 from 09:30-10:30 am ET.
