The City of DeSoto is advertising this Request for Statements of Qualifications (RFSQ) to identify a qualified professional engineering firm to obtain professional services for the FM 1382 / Belt Line Road and Cockrell Hill Road Intersection Safety Improvements Project.The Consultant shall provide professional engineering services necessary to prepare complete Plans, Specifications, and Estimates (PS&E) for the proposed improvements. Services include roadway intersection and traffic signal design, ADA-compliant pedestrian improvements, pavement markings and signing, preparation of construction cost estimates, and development of final bid-ready construction documents.The anticipated project kickoff is November 2026. The selected firm shall have the 60% design set submitted to the City of DeSoto no later than February 15, 2027, and 100% design set submitted to the City of DeSoto no later than August 31, 2027. The selected firm shall be required to work closely with the Engineering Division staff to provide professional services as stated in the scope of work. The selected firm will coordinate with the City of DeSoto Engineering staff and TxDOT Dallas District office until the design is complete.All questions regarding this RFSQ must be received in writing to Purchasing staff no later than Wednesday, August 26, 2026 at 5PM.Responses must be received in the City of DeSoto’s Development Services Department at 211 E Pleasant Run Rd.
