    The accepted bidder must remove the scrap metal within 90 days of award unless an alternate specified time is mutually agreed to by the County. Note that hauling will not be permitted when conditions are overly wet causing tracking of mud.There are estimated approximately 400+ tons of scrap metal including white goods. The bid must include the loading and hauling away of the material from the 3-mile Canyon Landfill. Review of the metal pile may occur Monday through Friday, 7:30a until 5:00pm by checking in with the 3 Mile Canyon Landfill scale house.The Summit County Solid Waste Division is accepting bids for scrap metal located at the 3-Mile landfill facility. The bid must be a per-ton (2000 lbs) dollar amount, and the bid must be valid for 30 days after the bid due date. The SEALED bids can be mailed or hand-delivered to the following address by 10:00am on Thursday July 23, 2026:Summit County Public Works Solid Waste Division C/O Timothy Loveday 1755 South Hoytsville Road Coalville, UT 84017The bids will be publicly opened at the above location at 10:00am on Thursday July 23, 2026. The right is reserved by Summit County to reject any or all bids. A contract will be awarded in general accordance with Attachment A, Standard Terms for Services. Please include exceptions to these terms with your bid.
