    ONLINE ELECTRONIC BIDS for the project(s) listed below will be received by the State Highway Administration (SHA) at https://www.bidx.com/maryland/main until 12 Noon Eastern time on the date specified below for the Bid Opening, at which time they will be opened. Project work includes: -Replacement of Bridge No. 1701102 on US 301 Southbound over MD 290 The existing three span steel beam bridge has span lengths of 42’-6”, 47’-1”, and 47’-1” with an existing clear roadway of 40’-0”. The proposed single span steel girder bridge has a span length of 85’-0”, with a proposed clear roadway of 40’-0”. All new abutment construction will be supported on steel HP piling. -There is 0.37 miles of upgrading for the US 301 Southbound approach roadways, which includes resurfacing of US 301 Southbound, placement of new traffic barriers, stormwater management facilities, signing, and permanent pavement striping. -One lane of existing traffic in each direction on US 301 Southbound will be maintained at all times utilizing staged construction.
