    Description

The King County Rural Library District (dba King County Library System (KCLS)) is seeking proposals from Consultants for the purpose of Rebranding of King County Library System (KCLS) and the KCLS Foundation.  This project is fully funded by a KCLS Foundation grant, ensuring financial commitment for the successful execution of all outlined deliverables. The project consists of rebranding the King County Library System and the KCLS Foundation. The last official rebrand was in 2000, resulting in the stacked KCLS logo. The current KCLS Brand & Style Guide was updated in 2011. KCLS created a horizontal logo 10 years ago to address limitations with the vertical logo. KCLS launched the "Curiosity Isn't Quiet" brand campaign in February 2025 to give the library system a bold, fresh look. This organic evolution over the past 25 years has brought KCLS to a point where we need to intentionally refresh the branding ecosystem to set us up for success for the next decade. A critical goal for a refreshed identity system is that it remains recognizable as "KCLS" to our patrons and staff.

Note that the specific requirements are outlined in the statement of work and schedule section of this document.
