    Description

    The work of this single bid project includes furnishing and installing two new 500 HP high-pressure steam firetube boilers to replace the existing boilers in the heating plant, along with upgrades to the campus steam and heating distribution systems. Work includes replacement of steam distribution piping serving Bicknell Hall, East Hall, Shannon Hall, and Galbreath Hall with new direct-buried steam piping; and replacement of existing steam manhole MH-1. The project also includes conversion of the distribution system serving Oneida Hall, Mohawk Hall, and Cayuga Hall from steam to direct-buried lowtemperature water (LTW) service, including installation of an LTW heat exchanger, distribution pump, and associated direct-buried LTW piping originating at Galbreath Hall. Plans will be available after July 7, 2026, through Plan & Print Systems, Inc. (315-437-5111 & https://planandprint.com/ ). A project walk-through has been scheduled for July 15, 2026, at 10:00AM, meeting outside at Hamilton Hall near the heating plant entrance. Please confirm the date/time with the Consultant. Special Notice to Potential Bidders: Please review the Bid and Post Bid Checklist on the Construction Opportunities page on the Fund’s website (https://www.sucf.suny.edu/) for more information on bidder’s qualifications and other requirements. All bidders must present evidence of skill, experience and financial qualifications per Information to Bidders, Section 7 of the project specs. Subcontracting is permitted (Section 2.18 of SUCF Agreement). Principal subcontractors must be named within 48 hrs after bid opening per Information for Bidders Section 8. Bidders must submit within 48 hrs either certification of its NYS VendRep questionnaire (preferred) or a signed and notarized paper CCA2 form (Version 3/22 only), Attachments A, B, and C, Appendix A form, work descriptions, and preliminary project schedule.
