Request for Pre-Qualification Laser Intrusion Detection System

The Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) will be soliciting bids for the Laser Intrusion Detection System (Project).

Notice is hereby given that VTA is now soliciting Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from bidders with expertise to procure and replace/upgrade laser intrusion detection systems (LIDS) on elevated guideways and tunnels to enable VTA's Protective Services Department and Operations Control Center (OCC) to remotely monitor unauthorized access.

Experience does not need to be specific to LiDAR systems, but must demonstrate experience with:

1. Installing field monitoring equipment such as sensors, cameras, or communication devices along active trackways or transportation corridors.
2. Fiber optic installation through existing conduit, including under or adjacent to trackway infrastructure.
3. Integrating field devices with existing communication systems for full system functionality.
4. Previous experience performing work for a government or public agency
