    Description

The Town of Tupper Lake is seeking proposals from qualified consultants to prepare final construction documentation and to provide bid phase and construction management services for installation of site enhancements at the Town of Tupper Lake Train Station, located at 37 Depot Street in the Town of Tupper Lake. Through this Request for Proposals (RFP), the Town of Tupper Lake seeks to identify firms with the interest, expertise and capacity to assist the Town with this project. This project is funded by the Environmental Protection Fund as administered by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation. Project Description The Town of Tupper Lake will complete the transformation of the historic Tupper Lake Train Station into a fully accessible, safe, and welcoming gateway that seamlessly links the Adirondack Rail Trail, restored rail service, the Junction Downtown, and Uptown destinations. Planned construction includes installation of accessible pathways connecting DOT-built walkways to the Rail Trail and sidewalk network; construction of a defined parking area with curbing to safely separate vehicles, landscaped zones, and pedestrian routes; and landscaping to organize circulation and improve site aesthetics. The Town has already completed significant work on the project, including: · boundary and topographic surveys · extensive stakeholder and public engagement · consultation with state agencies · schematic designs and cost estimates · assessment of stormwater management needs (Professional engineering opinions have been received that a SWPPP will not be required for the project – an erosion control plan will suffice.) · preparation of a Short Form EAF (Town staff will complete remaining SEQR process and any remaining approvals or permitting.) The Town now seeks consultant services to support finalization of plans, bidding and construction of site enhancements.
