    Bid Posting Date: November 15, 2024 Project: Request for Quotes for Contractual Building Services Quotes Due: Contact Jodi Fowler This project includes, but is not necessarily limited to: The City of Valdez Building Maintenance Department is updating a professional services roster of contractors interested in working with the City on future building services. The range of services includes, but is not limited to: General Contracting, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Carpentry, Facilities Systems, Overhead Door Services, Glass Services, Elevators, Boilers, etc. The concept is to streamline and allow the City maximum flexibility in professional services procurement and achieve competitive best value for the City on small maintenance projects. Based on the size of the project, qualifications submitted, and contractor availability, a contractor may be selected from qualifications on file. Preference will be given to local contractors. Responses may be submitted at any time. Quotes will be accepted at the office of the Building Maintenance Supervisor, 555 W. Egan Street, PO Box 307, Valdez, Alaska 99686. Quotes will be accepted via email to Stanley Porritt, fax, mail, or in person. Questions can be directed by email to Stanley Porritt, Facilities Maintenance Manager. Bid documents may also be downloaded from the links below. The City reserves the right to waive any irregularities or informalities in a quote, to reject any and all quotes without cause, and to re-solicit for quotes. Current minimum prevailing wage rates as published by the Alaska Department of Labor must be paid if required by law. Requirements of the Alaska Employment Preference (AS 36.10) must be met. The City of Valdez encourages disadvantaged, minority and women-owned firms to respond and is available to assist said firms in learning how to do business with the City. The City of Valdez “Standard Specifications and Standard Details” shall be used.
