Meriden Public Schools seeks proposals from qualified vendors for the supply and distribution of fresh bakery products. Fresh bakery products are defined as; not previously frozen, held under 32 degrees Fahrenheit, and baked within 48 hours of delivery. The total value of the contract for the school year 2026-2027 is anticipated to be approximately $60,000.

Evaluation Criteria

• Qualifications, Experience and Capacity (15 pts) —

  This category of the Technical Proposal will be evaluated based on the proposer’s years of experience, experience with the K-12 segment, team members, and references.

• Service Delivery Approach (25 pts) —

  This category of the Technical Proposal will be evaluated based on the proposer’s electronic capabilities, order placement methods and minimums, substitutions process, special orders process, reporting, deliveries, and the availability of prompt payment discounts.

• Cost Proposal (45 pts) —

  Each Cost Proposal will be evaluated based on products meeting specifications, product pricing, nutritional information, and product quality.

• Responsible and Responsive Bidder (15 pts) —

  Each proposer’s submitted documents will be reviewed for completeness. Missing documents, entries, or missing signatures will result in reduced points.
