The intent of this Request for Proposal is to obtain comprehensive solutions from qualified contractors capable of evaluating, relining or replacing, and testing the existing drain systems while minimizing disruption to College operations.The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and incidentals necessary to complete the relining, replacement, or combination of both for all drain lines identified in the drawings provided by South Plains College. Contractors shall determine the most appropriate methods to complete the work while maintaining compliance with all applicable plumbing codes and regulations. All materials and installation methods shall meet industry standards and manufacturer specifications.If excavation is required to access drain lines, the Contractor shall be responsible for protecting all surrounding surfaces, finishes, equipment, and adjacent areas using plastic sheeting, barriers, or other appropriate protective measures. The Contractor shall take all necessary precautions to minimize disruption to facility operations and maintain a clean and safe work environment throughout the duration of the project.The Contractor shall coordinate all work with the South Plains College Physical Plant Department. This coordination shall include scheduling any required HVAC shutdowns, protecting fire alarm systems, and minimizing construction dust and airborne particulates that may impact sensitive building systems or occupied areas.The Contractor shall remove and properly dispose of all debris generated by the project that is not used for backfilling. Work areas shall be maintained in a clean and orderly condition throughout the project, and final cleanup shall be completed prior to project closeout.Where concrete removal is necessary to access drain lines, the Contractor shall remove and replace concrete as required. Replacement concrete shall be installed to within 1/8 inch to 3/8 inch below the existing finished floor surface to allow for final floor finish replacement by the College.If wall access demolition is required, the Contractor shall be responsible for repairing walls to match existing conditions. Wall repairs shall include patching and finishing surfaces to a paint-ready condition. South Plains College will be responsible for final painting of repaired wall surfaces.The Contractor shall be responsible for disconnecting and reconnecting plumbing fixtures as necessary to complete the work. All fixtures shall be reinstalled in proper working order and tested for proper functionality.Upon completion of the relining and/or replacement work, the Contractor shall test the drain system at all drain points to confirm proper drainage, leak-free installation, and full system functionality. The Contractor shall provide documentation of testing results if requested by the College.South Plains College will provide electronic and printed drawings identifying the drain lines included in this project. The College will also be responsible for painting repaired wall surfaces and replacing floor coverings following completion of the Contractor’s work.Contractors responding to this Request for Proposal shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to complete the project. Contractors shall maintain all required licenses and insurance, comply with applicable safety regulations, coordinate scheduling with College personnel, protect existing facilities and infrastructure, restore work areas as specified, and complete all required testing and verification of the work performed.
