    University Health is undergoing significant expansion to meet the needs of a growing and diverse population. Recent projects include:•The opening of a new Women’s & Children’s Hospital in 2023, designed to provide advanced maternal, neonatal, and pediatric care. •Construction of the Palo Alto Hospital on San Antonio’s South Side, scheduled to open in 2027, to expand access in underserved communities. •Development of the Retama Hospital in Selma, Texas, also slated for 2027, to serve rapidly growing areas in northeastern Bexar County.These initiatives reflect University Health’s commitment to decentralizing care, improving accessibility, and addressing social determinants of health across the region. To support this expansion and ensure seamless coordination across facilities, University Health seeks a clearinghouse partner to: •Standardize data exchange between hospitals, clinics, and external partners. •Improve claims processing and reimbursement accuracy through centralized clearinghouse services. •Enhance interoperability with payers, providers, and state/federal agencies. •Support compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and other regulatory requirements. •Enable scalability as University Health adds new hospitals, clinics, and specialty centers.The clearinghouse solution will be a critical component of University Health’s infrastructure, enabling: •Full integration with Epic EHR system. •Efficient and transparent revenue cycle management. •Reduced administrative burden for clinical and billing staff. •Improved patient experience through faster claims resolution and reduced billing errors. •A foundation for future innovation, including population health analytics and value based care initiatives.University Health will award a three (3) year contract with two one (1) year renewal option to qualified contractor(s) for each component of revenue cycle management solution outlined in this Request for Proposals. Prime contractors may engage in and manage subcontracts to ensure that the objectives of the contract are met. Prime contractors shall be solely responsible for the management and oversight of their subcontractors and ensuring Contract compliance.
