The Library maintains print collections for adult, young adult, and children’s audiences in English, Spanish, and other languages to meet community demand.The Library’s estimated annual expenditure for print materials is approximately $400,000. This amount is provided for planning purposes only and does not represent a guarantee of volume.The Library has historically relied on a primary vendor to support systemwide print acquisitions integrated with the SirsiDynix Symphony Integrated Library System (ILS). Due to recent changes in the library vendor marketplace, the Library must establish a new contractual arrangement to ensure continuity of print acquisitions within its centralized ordering, fiscal oversight, and multi-branch distribution model.1.3 Action DatesThe following is an outline of the anticipated schedule for the proposal review and contract award.Issue Request for Proposal (RFP) March 16, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. PDT Last day for questions March 30, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. PDT Proposals Due April 17, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. PDT Evaluation-award May 2026 Start Work TBDThe Offeror shall not commence work until a meeting between representatives of the offeror and the County of Ventura is held. The meeting will be held at a County of Ventura site, at a time and date to be established.
