The landfills are equipped with a Landfill Gas (LFG) collection system, which ultimately discharges to a permitted landfill blower flare system.The SWP 588 LFG collection system currently consists of fifty-nine (59) wells, of which approximately half have been equipped with dedicated pumps to keep them dewatered to enhance gas collection.Additional systems include equalization tanks for leachate treatment, a benzene treatment system, a sidewall odor mitigation system (SOMS), and an emergency generator.Proposals will be reviewed and evaluated, and through competitive negotiation, a contract will be established for those professional services. The professional services listed herein will be limited to the Solid Waste Department.
