The City of Maywood is seeking a contractor qualified to provide janitorial services to all City facilities. The service task shall include but will not be limited to the information shown below. The City will maintain the authority to accept or reject the suggested tasks. The selected Respondent shall provide the following scope of services as follows:1. City Municipal Buildings and Parks –a. City Hall – Approximately 12,528 sq ft. (2 floors, 4 restrooms)b. Sheriff Sub-Station – Approximately 6,000 sq ft. (2 floors, 4 restrooms, 2 showers)c. Public Work Yard – 351 sq ft. (1 floor, 1 restroom)d. Speaker Anthony Rendon Riverfront Park – Approximately 1,000 sq ft. (2 restroom facilities) 30 trash receptaclese. Maywood Park – (1 restroom facility) 16 trash receptaclesf. Pixley Park – 4 trash receptaclesg. Pine Avenue Park – 2 trash receptaclesh. Benito Juarez Park – 4 trash receptacles2. Graffiti Reporting – The contractor shall report graffiti to both the City’s Public Works as well as the City’s current graffiti removal company. The contractor will call (888) 336-3353 and leave a detailed message of the graffiti as well as report it to Public Works Superintendent.3. General Scope – The contractor shall be required to resolve service concerns and to conduct monthly evaluations to assess the cleaning services at each building. A security review will be required for the contractor’s employees accessing, working, or supervising in the City buildings. The contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, equipment, materials, supplies, insurance, and other resources necessary to satisfactorily perform the custodial services, without the use of sub- contractor. This includes all toiletry items, paper towels, tissue, trash liners, cleaning supplies, cleaning products, soap for dispensers, liners for the parks, doggie waste bags and any other supplies that are necessary to complete the services satisfactorily.4. Supplies and Equipment - The City maintains the right to purchase any supplies if contractor does not provide them.5. Contractors’ Non-compliance – If the City determines that there are deficiencies in the performance of this contract, the City will inform the contractor and allow time for corrective action. Should the contractor fail to complete deficiency, the City is within its right to contract labor. If this were to occur, the City will deduct from the contractor’s monthly payment the cost of said labor.6. Additional Work – The City, at its discretion, reserves the right to direct the contractor to perform additional work when the need for such work arises. Any other additional work can be requested by the City, examples include waxing/polishing of floors, carpet cleaning, disinfectant fogging, etc and an estimate should be provided along with it.
