RFP PSA NEW SELF-FUNDED HEALTH PRODUCT MARKETING SERVICES

Event Description:
As both an employer and a provider of health services, UC has identified strategic opportunities to grow employee enrollment in its self-funded coverage options and to become more visible as a coverage solution for large-scale employers. UC Health may offer the new coverage option to its workforce in Fall 2020, alongside existing options, and simultaneously to offer it to other large employers as a coverage option for their workforces through a carrier partnership. This RFP seeks professional services to: • Conduct online research among UC employees statewide to assess understanding, preferences, and decision-making when employees choose from UC’s roster of coverage options. • Conduct external research among decision-makers at large companies (1,000+ employees) in markets where UC has a major medical center to understand the sell-in process, hurdles/barriers and drivers of choice when arraying coverage options for their workforces from more than one health plan. • (Potentially) Provide decision-support tools and communication materials that stimulate UC employee consideration of coverage options and assist in making economically wise selections based on an individual’s or family’s expected health needs.
