    Questions & Answers

    Q (Additional information request):

A: I understand that this RFQ is for wetlands and waters delineation for one culvert crossing, and that the exact crossing will be selected at a future date. Is this the correct interpretation? If yes, does the County have a list of potential crossings that may be chosen? This RFP is not for a culvert crossing but rather for safety improvements along Jackson Highway from MP 0.257 to MP 16.493. Per the WSDOT STIP 2025 County Safety Program – Phase I safety improvements will include installation/upgrades to guardrail and bridge rail and Phase II safety improvements will include improvements to the clear zone (slope flattening, installation/upgrades to barriers, culvert end treatments, shoulder widening, removal/modification of fixed objects, reduction of pavement edge drop offs, ditch improvements) and installation/upgrades to signage. If yes, does the County have a list of potential crossings that may be chosen? N/A

    Q (Additional information request):

A: The project description indicates that preparation of wetland and stream mitigation design and bank use plans is not anticipated, but may be required. In the event those services are required, is the expectation that they would be competed under the estimated total maximum value of $48,000, or in a future phase/amendment? I would expect an amendment would be needed in the event that those services are required.
