    ROADWAY, WATER, AND SEWER INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT EDA No. 07-79-07487 PHASE II ROADWAY IMPROVEMENTS ADDENDUM NO. 2 Issued 4/30/24 Addendum No. 2 Photos ADDENDUM NO. 1 Issued 4/26/24 Addendum No. 1 Sealed proposal will be received at the Mariposa County Department of Public Works, 4639 Ben Hur Rd. Mariposa, CA 95338 until 2:00 PM Friday May 3, 2024. Tuesday May 14, 2024 Any bid received after the time and date listed will be returned unopened. Bids are required for the entire work described in accordance with the provisions of the contract documents on the proposal forms furnished therein, and in accordance with the Plans & Details, and the Special Provisions. Engineers Estimate is $3.4 Million The work to be done consists of, in general, constructing storm drain, curb & gutter, sidewalk, grind & overlay road pavement, bridge deck rehabilitation, retaining walls, parking lot improvements, and other miscellaneous items as specified in the plans and specifications. A Non-Mandatory prebid meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 9th @ 10 AM at the Public Works Department 4639 Ben Hur Rd. Mariposa, CA For a set of Plans & Specifications and to be added to Planholders list contact Claudia Gonzales at cgonzales@mariposacounty.org D.I.R. REQUIREMENTS: This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. No contractor or subcontractor may be awarded a contract for public work on a public works project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5. COMPLETION OF WORK: The Bidder is allowed 100 WORKING DAYS for completion of the work. The County reserves the right to assess a penalty of $1000 per day for work exceeding the allowed days. The DBE Contract Goal is 19.8% BID SECURITY: All bids shall be accompanied by a bidder’s bond amounting to five percent (5%) of bid amount payable to said County as liquidated damages. Said amount shall be retained by or said bond shall become payable to said County if the bidder depositing same does not, within 10 working days after written notice that the contract has been awarded to him, enter into a contract with the County. BID QUESTIONS: All bid questions or request for information will be addressed in issued project Addenda without delay as long as they are submitted at least 5 calendar days prior to the bid close. BONDS: The successful bidder shall, after Notice of Award, furnish a payment bond and a performance bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. ADDENDUMS TO BID DOCUMENTS: The Owner’s Representative may issue addendums to the project specifications as deemed necessary to modify the project documents prior to bid close. Addendums will be in writing and may modify the content of the project documents as well as the date that bids are accepted by the County. Class A General Engineering Contractor’s license WAGE RATES: The Federal minimum wage rates for this project as predetermined by the United States Secretary of Labor are set forth in General Decision Number CA20240018, dated 3/15/24 (check https://sam.gov for most recent updates), which is incorporated in these Special Provisions by this reference as if fully set forth herein. Addenda to modify the reference to Federal minimum wage rates to reflect revisions thereto, if necessary, will be issued to plan holders of record. This Project will be partially funded with Federal Funds from the United States Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration and therefore is subject to the Federal Laws and regulations associated with that program. Project is subject to “Buy America” provisions. AWARD OF CONTRACT: The award of the contract, if it is to be awarded, will be to the lowest responsible bidder whose proposal complies with all the requirements prescribed. Such award, if made, will be made within 60 days after the opening of the proposals. The award of the contract will be subject to the availability of funds. The County of Mariposa reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities in the bidding.
