The City of Suisun (City) is seeking a contractor for the Security Gates for Police Department & Civic Center, Fire Department, and Corporation Yard Project.

The project was accidentally closed, and this so the City can proceed with the bid process. The only bidder allowed to submit are the ones that were at the mandatory prebid meeting list.

The new bid opening date will be June 16, 2026 at 2 pm. There are four [4] addenda associated with this project, and they will be uploaded in this listing.

Background

NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS

Sealed proposals will be received by the City on the Suisun City Open Gov Portal at City of Suisun Procurement Portal until 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 21, 2026, for work in accordance with the project plans and specifications to which special reference is made, as follows:

Security Gates for Police Department & Civic Center, Fire Department, and Corporation Yard Project

The project scope is to install security gates at the following locations:

1. City Hall and Police Department Campus, 701 Civic Center Blvd. (Base Bid)
   1. Police Department – Install landscaping (Add Alternate 1)
   2. Police Department – Install picnic area (Add Alternate 2)
2. Fire Department, 621 Pintail Dr. (Add Alternate 3)
3. Corporation Yard, 4555 Peterson Road (Add Alternate 4)

Base Project:

• Install non-scalable wrought iron security fence and gate system at the City Hall and Police Department Campus.
• Remove landscaping between Police Department and City Hall.
• Install privacy screens at specified locations.
• The work will include a mix of civil and building improvements including but not limited to electrical, asphalt, concrete, etc.

Additive Alternates:

• Police Department:
  • Landscaping
  • Seating area between Police Department and City Hall
• Fire Department:
  • Install security gate system with pedestrian gate on existing fence (Existing fencing to remain in place)
• Corporation Yard:
  • Install security gate system (Existing fence shall remain)

Attention is directed to the plans and specifications for complete details and bid requirements.

The work to be performed, in general, consists of supplying all labor, materials, tools, equipment, implements and methods of process to install the security gate systems, fencing, remove and install landscaping, remove and replace asphalt, remove and replace concrete, and other civil improvements.

All bid submittal packages and all Requests for Information (RFIs) shall be submitted exclusively through the City’s OpenGov portal (City of Suisun Procurement Portal) to be eligible for consideration. Submittals transmitted by any other means will not be accepted or reviewed.
