The CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO invites sealed written proposals for the LPR - BATTERY BACKUP (“Project”), located at 901 Civic Campus Way (Library | Parks & Recreation Center)., South San Francisco, California (the “Site”). The Project includes but is not limited to: furnish and installation of a 250 KW / 506 KWH Battery energy storage system (BESS) serving the South San Francisco Library, Parks & Recreation Building. The BESS will be provided as a factory-assembled, self-contained outdoor enclosure located within the existing parking lot area. The unit includes integral HVAC, battery management, and fire detection / suppression systems, The BESS will be interconnected with the facility’s electrical distribution system to manage peak electrical demand, improve energy performance, and provide standby power capacity to enhance facility resiliency during utility outages. Work shall include associated equipment pad, trenching, electrical equipment installation, electrical interconnections, controls integration, coordination with existing building systems, wall penetrations, waterproofing, exterior finish, metal fabrications and supports, concrete and site work.
