The bidder who is awarded the contract will be required to pay a fee to PennBidTM. The names of those who have secured plans/specifications may be obtained at PennBidTM.Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond payable to the Owner in an amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid or bids. A performance bond or certified check in the amount of 100% of the contract shall be furnished by the successful bidder within 20 days after the contract is awarded. Only bonds from companies licensed to do business in the State where the Owner is located will be accepted and the bond shall so state same.This project involves road milling, base repair, placement of Superpave wearing course, pavement marking, and appurtenant work.This project is subject to prevailing wage rates in accordance with Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry. Prospective bidders must be pre-qualified with PENNDOT in accordance with Section 102.01 of PENNDOT Publication 408 – Specifications, latest edition thereof. Liquidated damages apply at the rate of $870.00 per calendar day.Bids must be submitted unconditionally. No bidder may withdraw bid within SIXTY (60) days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids.The Owners reserve the right to waive any informalities, or to reject any or all bids.
