    Description

The Connecticut DEEP Division of Forestry is soliciting quotes for a forest road resurfacing project encompassing 8,010 linear feet of Stickney Road. The resurfacing project begins at the intersection with Stickney Hill Road and terminates at the DEEP Division of Wildlife maintained Ben Arnold Field. The goal of this project is to resurface and reinforce the current forest road by adding gravel base, drainage features and proper width throughout. These improvements will help control erosion and keep the road viable for its intended use in the long term. Crushed stone will be placed and graded in various depths and widths. There are 15 current culvert locations along the road that will need to be dug up and replaced to improve drainage. A geo-referenced map showing the location of the project, estimated depth of new material, drainage features, and turnout locations is attached to this ITB.
