Orlando Utilities Commission’s Transmission Engineering Construction and Maintenance Division is seeking a Vegetation Management Contractor to supply sufficient manpower and equipment for handling our substation weed spraying management program. The contractor should also have the ability to supply additional crews as work, or emergencies, dictate. Term of this contract shall be for three (3) years, at which time OUC shall have the option to renew the contract for one (1) additional one (2) year period if it determines it to be in the best interest of OUC. As listed on the RFP Proposal Pages shall remain firm throughout the initial contract period. The minimum PPE for Contractor personnel to work within an OUC substation shall be long pants with a minimum arc rating of class 2 (8 Cal/cm2), long sleeve shirt with a minimum arc rating of class 2 (8 Cal/cm2), steel/composite toed shoes, safety glasses, and hard hat.See attachments for more details.
