The deadline for questions will be 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 10, 2026. Approximate quantities for major items for this project include: 590 VF 30” Cased Piers, 26 CY Reinforced Concrete Beams, Soil Anchors, 220 CY gabions, 620 LF 8” PVC water line, 88 SY subgrade /Asphalt Pavement, 137 LF HP drainage Pipe, 350 SY concrete flume; and all other items. Proposals shall be accompanied by a cashier's or certified check upon a national or state bank, or savings and loan in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total maximum bid price, payable without recourse to the City of Cedar Hill (herein the “OWNER”), or a bid bond in the same amount from a reliable surety company, as a guarantee that the BIDDER will enter into a contract and execute performance bond and payment bond within ten (10) business days after notice of award of contract to the Contractor. The notice of award of contract will be given by the OWNER within ninety (90) calendar days following the opening of bids. The successful BIDDER must furnish a performance bond upon the form provided in the amount of 100 percent of the contract price and a material and labor payment bond upon the form provided in the amount of 100 percent of the contract price from an approved surety company holding a permit from the State of Texas to act as surety, or other surety or sureties acceptable to the OWNER. The work under this contract includes furnishing all labor, tools, material, and equipment, and for performing all work necessary for reconstruction of: Pier, soil anchor, gabion structures, water, drainage and asphalt pavement. Work includes the installation of 675 VF 30” Cased Piers, 125 CY Reinforced Concrete Beams, Soil Anchors, 515 CY gabions, 600 LF 8” PVC water line, 900 SY subgrade /Asphalt Pvmt, 140 LF HP drainage Pipe, 350 SY concrete flume, and any other work deemed necessary by the City of Cedar Hill. All of the above shall be done in accordance with NCTCOG specifications, with the City of Cedar Hill’s Addenda and as per instructions of the OWNER. All construction sequencing and barricading will be done according to the City of Cedar Hill Standards and Details and TxDOT’s Manual for Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD), unless work occurs within TxDOT ROW, in which case TxDOT standards will apply.
