Sealed bids for the Thornbury Township Meeting Room Renovations will be received digitally by the PennBid system online. This project is divided into four (4) separate contracts: General Contracting, Plumbing, Electrical, and HVAC. Bids may be submitted as instructed until 10:00 AM, on 7/9/2026, at which time the bidding will be closed and administered by the PennBid system. No physical or electronic copies bids will be accepted at the Township offices. The building will be open for a contractor’s walk-through during the weeks of 6-22 and 6-29 any time between 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM. Contact Susan Duadert at 610-399-8383, ext: 101 to schedule times. The last day for contractors to submit questions to the design team is 07/08/2026 @ 10:00 AM at the pre bid conference to be held in the meeting room space. Thornbury Township, (The Owner), invites qualified General Contractors to bid on a general contract (Guaranteed Maximum Price), including all mechanical and electrical work, for construction described in general as follows: The work as shown on the Bid Documents including, but not limited to: the General Construction; Plumbing; Heating; and Electrical Work all in accordance with the Standard Conditions, the Drawings, and the Specifications. A certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid, made payable to the Township of Thornbury, must accompany each bid. Address all bids to the Township of Thornbury, c/o: Jeffrey Seagraves, Manager, 6 Township Drive, Cheyney, PA 19319-1020. All correspondence and submittals shall be plainly endorsed for the Thornbury Township Meeting Room Renovations prior to upload in PennBid.. Attention of Bidders is called to all of the requirements contained in the bid package, particularly to the PA Prevailing Wage Rates, various insurance requirements, various equal opportunity provisions, and the requirements for payment and performance bond(s) drawn for 100% of the contract price and a one-year maintenance bond, for 10% of the contract price, to begin upon substantial completion / acceptance of the work. Plans, specifications, and bidding forms are on file electronically and may be obtained at the PennBid website listing for the project. Should there be any issue with obtaining documents from the PennBid website they can be obtained in digital form from Dever Architects ftp. Bidders should contact Dever Architects at (610)358-2300 to obtain the information needed to access the site. Bidders will be notified via email when updates and addendums become available and are posted to the PennBid project site. The Township of Thornbury reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids thereof, and waive any information in the bidding, as they deem in the best interest of the Township.
