    Description

    The Town of Jay seeks qualifications from New York State licensed professional engineering firms to provide final design, bidding, construction administration, and project closeout services for the Town of Jay Water District Upgrades Project. This project includes improvements to the Jay, Upper Jay, and AuSable Forks Water Districts as outlined the 2025 Final Engineering Report prepared for the Town. The Town of Jay owns and operates three public water systems, the Jay Water District (PWSID NY1500279), the Upper Jay Water District (PWSID NY1500294) and the AuSable Forks Water District (PWSID NY1516260). In November and December 2022, the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) conducted annual inspections and issued a Notice of Violation for insufficient source capacity in the Jay Water District, along with identifying multiple system deficiencies across all three districts. The project also includes final design and implementation of a Town-wide Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) water meter system serving all three water districts, in accordance with the Town’s 2025 Water Meter Feasibility Study and Final Engineering Report.
