    Description

Purpose: Timnath Community Park is a vital landmark in the community. It is a hub for recreational and sporting opportunities, along with a place for community events. This project aims to make improvements to the entrance portion of the park to enhance curbside appeal and increase safety for users. The Town is seeking Proposals from qualified Contractors to provide designs for the new entrance and the means to implement the desired improvements. Scope: The Contractor will work closely with Town representatives to redesign the entrance from a landscaping perspective to include removal of existing landscaping and make recommendations that improve safety and are aesthetically pleasing. After completing the design phase of the project, the selected contractor will implement the agreed upon changes as part of the contract. The Town would like to use the existing irrigation valves, as much as possible, to address the irrigating of new plants. Work will not include the reconfiguring of the entrance. The Town also requires multiple bull noses/median ends to be scrubbed, irrigation addressed or terminated and filled in with concrete or what has been specified by architect. The Town would like to explore options for this project as it relates to the new Colorado legislature and non-functional turf. The work will have to be completed around the town held events already scheduled. See the Community Park Landscape Design RFP Attachment for full specifications and requirements.
