    In general, this project consists of the installation of Full Trash Capture Devices (FTCD) known as Connector Pipe Screens (CPS) in existing storm drain inlet structures located throughout the Santa Margarita, Santa Ana, and Whitewater watersheds within the County of Riverside jurisdiction, in order to comply with the California State mandated trash provisions.A FTCD - CPS consist of a metal screen assembly installed inside a catch basin in front of the entrance to a connector pipe that prevents debris from entering the storm drain system. The principal goal is to reduce the amount of trash, particularly plastics, that ends up in the state's rivers, creeks, and ocean.The drainage inlet facilities are located in identified significant trash generating areas in the Santa Ana, Whitewater and Santa Margarita watershed regions of the County of Riverside.
