    Description

    The City is seeking responsive and responsible Contractors to provide Vehicle and Autobody Repair Services according to the terms, conditions, and specifications of this solicitation.

     

    The City intends to make the award to multiple responsive and responsible Contractors with first-class professional workmanship in auto body painting and repairing/ fabricating when necessary. The scope of these services includes vehicles that are 1000 lbs. gross vehicle weight (“GVW”), up to Class 8 greater than 33,001 GVW. The City shall strive to equally distribute the assignments on a rotating basis. The City reserves the right to perform in-house body shop services as deemed necessary.

    Background

    The City vehicle fleet Attachment H: Norfolk Fleet Active Asset List is comprised of approximately two thousand (2,000) vehicles, which include vehicles such as sedans, police cruisers, pickup trucks, vans, and specialty vehicles, to include large trucks and a variety of fire apparatus (pumpers, ladders, and heavy rescues), along with off-road equipment. The Contractor is not required to have experience in servicing all types of vehicles listed above. The Contractors must be able to do both repairs and bodywork on vehicles.
