    Description

    The County of Riverside Purchasing on behalf of the Department of Animal Services is soliciting quotations from qualified and licensed Bidders capable of providing Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory Services. The purpose of this solicitation is to select one or more qualified and licensed bidders to provide diagnostic testing and analysis services for domestic and non-domestic animals. If awarded, the County will enter into a contract with the selected Bidders for a period of five (5) years. The Department of Animal Services operates four animal shelters located throughout the County of Riverside, as outlined in Section 14.0 - Collection Sites (Riverside, San Jacinto, Thousand Palms, and Blythe). Collection frequency varies by site. The Bidder must meet the minimum qualifications outlined in Exhibit “A” – Bidder’s Minimum Qualifications, to participate in this solicitation. Bidders should submit their lowest and best pricing initially, inclusive of prompt-payment terms, shipping and handling, delivery, fuel surcharges, and/or freight. The County does not guarantee any minimum dollar amount or volume of diagnostic testing and analysis services. The number of diagnostic tests may fluctuate based on the needs of the County. Addition of New services to the Contract: Following the contract award, the contract may be expanded to include additional services that are consistent with the original category of work, even if those services were not specifically included in the initial contract.The Contractor must obtain prior written authorization from the assigned County Buyer or procurement staff, before adding any new service or item.
