The project consists of the following:“In Place Paving” on various roads located in Washington Township, Lehigh County:Base Bid Quantities: 2,800 Tons of 9.5mm Superpave, WMA 180 lb/sy Wearing Course 932 Tons of 9.5mm Superpave, WMA 60 lb/sy Leveling Course Alternate Bid Quantities: 690 Tons of 9.5mm Superpave, WMA 180 lb/sy Wearing Course 231 Tons of 9.5mm Superpave, WMA 60 lb/sy Leveling CourseAll materials must meet PENNDOT Pub. 408 Specifications and Standards. Bidders may be either a PENNDOT prequalified Prime or Sub Contractor and must supply proof of prequalification. Questions and inquiries should be electronically submitted through PennBid’s questions and answers tab. All bidders are invited to review the project with the township. All bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the bid made payable to Washington Township. The successful bidder will be required to provide a Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price within 20 days of the award of the contract and a certificate of liability insurance acceptable to the municipality prior to the start of any work.The bids will be presented to the Board of Supervisors at the regular scheduled meeting of the Washington Township Board of Supervisors on Tuesday May 5, 2026 at approximately 7:30 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the agenda allows. The Washington Township Board of Supervisors reserves the right to accept or reject any and/or all proposals or portions thereof, and to delete projects and or portions of the project depending on budgetary constraints and to waive any technicalities deemed to be in the best interest of the Township. PA Prevailing Wages apply to the “In Place Paving” contract.
