The work of this Contract consists of water main replacements, new water main construction, gravity sewer replacements, roadway milling, overlaying and re-striping and miscellaneous sidewalk and driveway replacements on the Tarpon Center Drive peninsula including, but not limited to: 1.Extending the existing 12-inch PVC water main on Tarpon Center Drive ~1,550 LF from Higel Park to Inlet Circle. 2.Extending ~750 LF of 8” water main along Tarpon Center Drive from the end of the new12” water main at Inlet Circle to a new hydrant approximately 400 LF east of the South JettyBeach concession stand. 3.Relocating Jetty Villas Condominiums’ two (2) 2” potable water master meters to the TarponCenter Drive right-of-way. 4.Relocating the existing 3” potable water master meter at 1400 Tarpon Center Drive. 5.Abandoning the existing parallel 6-inch asbestos cement water mains along Tarpon Center Drive and connecting all services to the existing and new 12-inch water mains. 6.Replacing the existing asbestos cement water mains along Gibbs Road with ~800 LF of new8” and 4” water main. 7.Replacing the existing asbestos cement water mains on Inlet Circle with ~1,750 LF of new8” and 6” water main. 8.Approximately 52 new service lines from the new water mains on Gibbs Road and Inlet Circle to existing meters. 9.Replacement of ~642 LF of failing gravity sewer and 6 manholes along Tarpon Center Drive. 10.Abandonment of existing water main, force main, and gravity sewer mains as shown on theDrawings. 11.Removal of the concrete median and milling and overlaying Tarpon Center Drive. 12.Restriping Tarpon Center Drive to provide buffered bike lanes between approximately and Inlet Circle and shared lane markings (sharrows) from Inlet Circle to South Jetty Beach. 13. Replacing driveway aprons and upgrading existing pedestrian facilities in the right-of-way, where feasible, to meet Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements. ## Pre-Bid Conference NON-MANDATORY A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting/site visit will be held on June 4, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., Venice City Hall, Building Conference Room, room # 169, 401 West Venice Ave., Venice FL 34285. Representatives from the City will be present to discuss the overall project and the Invitation to Bid.
